Additional Illustrative Projects
I'm the first to admit that during my sophomore year at Grand Valley (circa Fall of 2019) I went through what I’d call a collegiate mid-life crisis of sorts. Up until then, my academic path had centered on international business with a minor in Spanish. However, I found myself yearning for something more, a deeper connection with people, which was lacking a bit in the business courses I’d taken thus far. Simultaneously, I felt a strong pull towards expressing myself through art, a passion that had been with me since the young age of four years old.
This “crisis” spurred me to explore new avenues. I not only switched gears from international business to marketing, but I enrolled in several art classes, including focused studies in graphic design. These courses became pivotal in my journey, allowing me to refine my skills in typography and illustration, and providing a platform to merge my love for storytelling with visual expression.
Below, I present some of the works that emerged from those explorations, representing a step forward in my quest to reconcile my diverse interests and carve out my unique path.
